Cultural feast “ Sentani Lake Festival (FDS)”, by the government and society Jayapura on 19-23 June 2010 to present diverse charm of Papua, on the theme "Loving Culture For Our Future".
"The theme is to motivate all citizens to love its existence as a civilized human being through the strengthening of cultural character by protecting and conserving nature of Papua, especially the indigenous communities of Sentani Lake."
To achieve these objectives, FDS 2010 which is a grand cultural feast third time after 2008 and then was, held with the three main concepts namely the concept of a performance, exhibition and tourism concept.
The concept will feature performances of cultural attractions and competitions with a view typical colossal dance Papua and Indonesian, music and songs, traditional folk games, art and cultural competitions and other arts attractions.
FDS 2010 exhibition aimed at promotion, insvestasi and trade through the booths that showcase the economic potential in Papua such as mining, forestry, fishery, plantation and tourism.
It is expected that this exhibition could open the door for capital investment and economic prospects in the earth of Kenambai Umbai Jayapura and the earth of Cenderawasih Papua.
FDS tourism concept in 2010 offered to the public to enjoy a tour of interesting sights around Sentani Lake and the surrounding areas.
This tour, among others, is a fieldtrip lake Sentani, fieldtrip Tablanusu Sea Tourism Village, ceremonial monument Japanese History of World War II in Village Genyem (at 18 June 2010) and others.
The series of other activities are typical culinary Papua and Indonesia, the exhibition charm typical of orchids and ornamental plants of Papua, book stalls as well as cultural and historical charm Papua evening fireworks over Lake Sentani.
FDS 2010 was held on June 19 to 23 and concentrated in Kalkhote Tourism Region, Sentani Lake, Jayapura.
This grand cultural feast annually receive full support from all particular and society of Jayapura Regency in in all the land of Papua general and especially the indigenous peoples Sentani-Jayapura supported as the host and owner of the rights of indigenous tourism area of Lake Sentani.

The customary holders or Ondoafi a Sentani region, among others, through the Chairman of the Traditional Authority Sentani, “Franzalbert Yoku”, has provided moral support for the success of this cultural feast.
